I have worked in software development and technology for over 20 years and it still remains something I am very passionate about. The constant change, inherent complexity and sheer rush of designing, building and shipping software is what keeps my focus on this industry. My experience enables me to be involved in all aspects of delivering software solutions from technical leadership to driving and showcasing new technologies / methodologies.
Over the last couple years my personal focus has switched from technology to people. I found the challenges within our industry lie with the environment and the people, and not just the technology. Leading and supporting people is where I find my fulfillment; combined with my technology experience I add more value by enabling others to focus and grow, ultimately elevating team performance.
And now, my latest interest is looking forward to what AI and our changing industry has in store of us and how best to try adapt and grow once again.
